Here’s the backstory
Back in December 2018 Amber wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post in which she talked about surviving domestic abuse. She talked about being exposed to abuse at a young age. She talked about being harassed and sexually assaulted in her early 20s. She did NOT mention Johnny by name in the op-ed, but she did say “two years ago, I became a public figure representing domestic abuse…” which certainly sounded like a reference to her time with Depp.
In March 2019 Johnny filed a defamation lawsuit against heard for that op-ed. He filed the lawsuit in Virginia, where the Post is printed.
